Used Equipment
Some fishing equipment can be
bought second-hand. Used fishing equipment
such as rods, reels,
and accessories such
as tackle-boxes and vests
are pretty durable. If you can find something that suits your needs,
it is a good chance to save some money when planning your fishing
trip.
However, there are a few exceptions.
It is not a good idea to buy used waders.
Waders eventually spring leaks, after which they are no longer useful.
Most people hold onto their waders until they start to leak,
so there would be little reason to sell them second hand. At any rate,
if you buy them after they have been considerably used, it will not
be long before they start to leak, and you will not get your money's
worth. Other equipment better bought new is your lure. The
average lure, once past use,
is not suitable for resale. However, there are more expensive, more
sophisticated lures that are more durable. As long as you can make sure
they are in good condition, it might not be a bad idea to buy a used
lure that would have cost a lot more brand new.
