There are two main types of fishing reels:
1. Bait-Casting reels: These are more difficult to use. As the fish pulls the bait, the spool lets out more line.
2. Spin-Casting reels: These are more popular. Spinning reels are more fool-proof, and easier to use. The spool does not move when the lure is cast. When casting the lure, you need to press a button to let out as much line as you need. Let the button up to stop more line going out.
Rods and reels can be purchased separately or in combinations.
